Ltd. (ATPL). The control of lights, temperature and shades by ATPL make each room comfortable and luxurious for the hotel guests. In addition to comfort and aesthetics, automation also serves the very important purpose of helping save energy.
A Guest presence detection system uses a combination of an in-room motion sensor, a door sensor, or integration with the door locks and logic that captures any button pressed in the room. All Lights are controlled via wall-mounted backlit keypads with each button engraved to say what it does. Temperature is controlled by thermostat which is easily and simply operated by guest to adjust the temperature accordingly.
The Hotel operations team can centrally monitor and control room automation in any guest room via a web-based, user-friendly application on their system.
Since the automation system can determine absence of hotel guest from the room, the energy savings can be maximized by turning lights off, and lowering the air-conditioning (increasing the temperature) by a few degrees.
